Design and technology students from Bradford Grammar School took a day away from the classroom to see sustainable design in operation at the £70million Victoria Mills apartments development in Shipley.
Six AS students visited the contemporary mill village on the banks of the River Aire to gain inspiration for their final year projects I which they will research, deign and create a product that could be anything from cutlery to lighting to machinery.
Newmason has a strong track record of working with and for the community. Alec Newsham said “We are committed not only to providing luxury living for our residents but to being fully involved in improving the local community as a whole – for example we are involved with the strengthening of existing pedestrian and transport links locally and a project to restore and improve recreation facilities at nearby Roberts Park. If only one of the Bradford Grammar students is inspired by our work in producing their own final year project we will be highly delighted.”
