“Gordon Brown would be well advised to visit Bradford  Since becoming PM he has made several policy announcements regarding housing, planning, green belt and infrastructure funding.  Some of the suggestions are ill thought out (for example, planning gain supplement) not joined up or just stale for having been around too long.  However, the direction of  his thinking is good – business flourishes and people’s quality of live is high if the environment they live in is good.  Bradford has the ability and the opportunity to become the best in 21st century regeneration and town planning. Prosperity, security and quality of life are on offer.  Vision and bravery are required – qualities which were plentiful during Bradford’s previous glory days of Salt, Lister, Hanson, et al ………………”.
