Alec Newsham of Newmason Properties – the firm behind the £70million redevelopment of Victoira Mills said the geographical location of Shipley made it an attractive place to both live and work. 

He said “If you need to hop on a train to Bradford or Leeds you can do.  It is a really good area with lots of well established businesses and self employed people working there.  We have got technology companies and all sorts based here. These act in bringing in more high value jobs and provide a good pool of employment.  Also in Shipley and Saltaire you have a well established infrastructure of restaurants, bars, etc.”
